The Real Estate Group (REG) is a student-run organization designed to enhance the educational experience of UIC students interested in the varying fields of real estate through networking, social, and professional events. Provide our members with supplemental education opportunities such as specialized training in real estate skills, speaker events from respected industry professionals and create long lasting relationships with real estate companies and service providers. Foster learning opportunities that focus on what is happening in the current market place. To organize networking events with real estate professionals and other UIC student groups (E.g. CUPPSA, MBAA).
REG Members:
While the LGSB represents the core of our attendees, we also recognize that our potential market extends much further into our campus and local community. First, we would like to organically form strategic partnerships within the CUPPA and the School of Architecture here at UIC. Locally, we want to continue to build relationships within the Chicago real estate community by collaborating with various industry professionals and organizations, both public and private. Additionally, local universities and their respective real estate programs and groups offer opportunities for us to exchange ideas and co-sponsor events.
Events/Promotion:
We try to host the highest quality education, social, networking and professional events possible. Our speakers, topics and initiatives will range from, brokerage, banking, property management, land issues, legal aspects, zoning, development, sustainability and the like. This can and should be done independently or in partnership with university groups, professional real estate firms and/or industry groups.
